Webdogpro.com started in 2003, focusing on publishing quality Photoshop tutorials and related articles. At its peak, Webdogpro realized over 4 million page views a month, and is referenced via 1000&#8217;s of links from other websites.</p>
<p>Techimoto will rebuild the current <a href="http://www.techimoto.com/category/photoshop/">tutorial</a> archive, and is pleased to announce the addition of Ms. Abby Janus to head up this effort. Abby will be responsible for providing content that will appeal to the individuals coming to the site for Photoshop tutorials. As Abby states; &#8220;I plan to conduct an on-line poll of those coming to Techimoto for these tutorials, in order to sharpen the focus of Techimoto&#8217;s design section. My hope is to add relevant content, in keeping with Techimoto&#8217;s current and future technologies focus, with a bent towards architectural, landscape, and web design techniques and innovations.&#8221; Abby earned a B.A. degree in Landscape Architecture from Colorado State University, Fort Collins, CO, in 2001, and has been an innovator in the field for over 15 years.</p>
<p>The Webdogpro.com domain will be redirected to techimoto.com and all photoshop tutorial links will stay the same, We hope that this merger will help build awareness of the techimoto brand and regain interest in the photoshop tutorial archive.</p>

<p><span id="more-184"></span></p>
<p><strong>1. OPEN YOUR FILE</strong></p>
<p>Start by opening any background.<br />
<img src="http://www.techimoto.com/images/wdp/stories/tutorials/pathtext_01.jpg" height="258" width="369" /></p>
<p><strong>2. CREATE THE PATH</strong><br />
Using pen tool create a path. Adjust the nodes to achieve a fine path.<br />
<img src="http://www.techimoto.com/images/wdp/stories/tutorials/pathtext_02.jpg" height="295" width="323" /></p>
<p>Select type tool and click on the path. You will see an I-beam appearing.<br />
<img src="http://www.techimoto.com/images/wdp/stories/tutorials/pathtext_03.jpg" height="244" width="302" /></p>
<p>Type your text. As you start typing, You&#8217;ll see that text is automatically being created on path.<br />
<img src="http://www.techimoto.com/images/wdp/stories/tutorials/pathtext_04.jpg" height="254" width="370" /></p>
<p><!-- do not edit --><br />
Double click text layer to open layer style window and apply gradient overlay and bevel and emboss. Use settings as shown.<br />
<img src="http://www.techimoto.com/images/wdp/stories/tutorials/pathtext_05.jpg" height="103" width="222" /></p>
<p><img src="http://www.techimoto.com/images/wdp/stories/tutorials/pathtext_06.jpg" height="255" width="369" /></p>
<p>Wow we have created a nice text effect that too on a curved path.<br />
<img src="http://www.techimoto.com/images/wdp/stories/tutorials/pathtext_07.jpg" height="261" width="372" /></p>
<p>Decorate it with some musical notes. Use custom shape tool ( U ) to draw some musical notes.<br />
<img src="http://www.techimoto.com/images/wdp/stories/tutorials/pathtext_08.jpg" height="259" width="370" /></p>
<p>Apply same layer style as on text to the musical notes too.<br />
<strong>5. DONE</strong><br />

Adjustment layers come to your rescue in such situtations. In this tutorial we&#8217;ll show you how convenient it is, to use adjustment layers.</font><br />
<span id="more-179"></span></p>
<p>Create a new file.</p>
<p>Open a couple of images.</p>

<p>Using lasso tool create a selection of sky.</p>
<p><img src="http://www.techimoto.com/images/wdp/tutorials/new/images/adjustclr_04.jpg" border="0" height="248" width="381" /></p>
<p>Press Ctrl+Alt+D to apply feather to the selection.</p>
<p><img src="http://www.techimoto.com/images/wdp/tutorials/new/images/adjustclr_05.jpg" border="0" height="194" width="344" /></p>
<p>Press delete to show the picture beneath this layer.</p>
<p><img src="http://www.techimoto.com/images/wdp/tutorials/new/images/adjustclr_06.jpg" border="0" height="245" width="374" /></p>
<p>Now we want to adjust the color balance without merging both images. To achieve this, from layer menu select new adjustment layer&gt;&gt;color balance.</p>
<p><img src="http://www.techimoto.com/images/wdp/tutorials/new/images/adjustclr_07.jpg" border="0" height="291" width="362" /></p>

<p><span id="more-194"></span></p>
<p>First create a new document with a canvas size of 500*500 pixels (feel free to use other sizes, I just find 500*500 easy to work with).</p>
<p><img src="http://www.techimoto.com/images/wdp/citric/blood/start.jpg" border="0" alt="" width="490" height="303" /></p>
<p>Rename Layer1 to ‘Splatter’</p>
<p>We will generate some clouds by going to Filter -&gt; Render -&gt; Clouds</p>
<p><img src="http://www.techimoto.com/images/wdp/citric/blood/clouds.jpg" border="0" alt="" width="490" height="490" /></p>
<p>Next, go to Filter -&gt; Render -&gt; Fibres (this option may not be available to versions prior to CS). Apply the fibres filter with the following settings.</p>
<p><img src="http://www.techimoto.com/images/wdp/citric/blood/fibre.jpg" border="0" alt="" width="311" height="400" /></p>
<p>Now go to Image -&gt; Adjustments -&gt; Brightness and Contrast. Apply with the following settings.</p>
<p><img src="http://www.techimoto.com/images/wdp/citric/blood/brightness.jpg" border="0" alt="" width="325" height="141" /></p>
<p>Create a new layer called &#8216;Color&#8217;, place it above &#8216;Splatter&#8217;.</p>
<p><img src="http://www.techimoto.com/images/wdp/citric/blood/new.jpg" border="0" alt="" width="234" height="54" /></p>
<p>This layer will manage the colour of the blood splatter. I used #6A0303. Use the Paint Bucket tool to fill the entire layer with that colour.</p>
<p><img src="http://www.techimoto.com/images/wdp/citric/blood/bucket.jpg" border="0" alt="" width="79" height="60" /></p>
<p><img src="http://www.techimoto.com/images/wdp/citric/blood/colorpainted.jpg" border="0" alt="" width="560" height="548" /></p>
<p>Create another layer, call it ‘Background’, and place it above ‘Color’</p>
<p><img src="http://www.techimoto.com/images/wdp/citric/blood/new.jpg" border="0" alt="" width="234" height="54" /></p>
<p>Hide every layer except ‘Background’</p>
<p><img src="http://www.techimoto.com/images/wdp/citric/blood/hide.jpg" border="0" alt="" width="221" height="122" /></p>
<p>Find your Gradient Tool (hidden underneath the Paint Bucket Tool) and set your gradient tool to Black and White. Drag the gradient from down to up. You may want to start a bit below the canvas.</p>
<p><img src="http://www.techimoto.com/images/wdp/citric/blood/gradienttool.jpg" border="0" alt="" width="137" height="72" /></p>
<p><img src="http://www.techimoto.com/images/wdp/citric/blood/gradientsettings.jpg" border="0" alt="" width="429" height="490" /></p>
<p><img src="http://www.techimoto.com/images/wdp/citric/blood/applygradient.jpg" border="0" alt="" width="584" height="565" /></p>
<p>After applying the gradient your layer should look like this.</p>
<p><img src="http://www.techimoto.com/images/wdp/citric/blood/backgroundgradient.jpg" border="0" alt="" width="490" height="490" /></p>
<p>You’re almost done. Make every layer visible.</p>
<p>Go back to layer ‘Colour’ and change the blending style to Screen.</p>
<p><img src="http://www.techimoto.com/images/wdp/citric/blood/blend1.jpg" border="0" alt="" width="243" height="414" /></p>
<p>Then finally, on layer ‘Background’, change the blending option to Darken.</p>
<p><img src="http://www.techimoto.com/images/wdp/citric/blood/blend2.jpg" border="0" alt="" width="229" height="393" /></p>
<p>The finished product should look something like this.</p>
<p><img src="http://www.techimoto.com/images/wdp/citric/blood/finish.jpg" border="0" alt="" width="490" height="490" /></p>
