Techimoto’s Mama Speaks Out on Mothers Day

By DesignGoddess on May 17, 2008 in Travel Blog

So here it is, the Head Geek (HG) of Techimoto, Max Wilson, has a technologically challenged mother. HG’s mama, aka DesignGoddess, has decided to come out of the shadows and blog about her experiences on the road with two techies. So here comes the random musings from the female perspective…

First off, let me say that Mother’s Day was wonderful. I did nothing but lounge around and wait to be served. I received a lovely hand selected gift from my son and my friend Sonja sent me this card. Three big epiphanies on Mother’s Day.

  • Mother’s Day on the Mother Road. Apparently John Steinbeck penned the moniker in The Grapes of Wrath and it remains of the more popular terms of endearment for the road from Chicago to LA. In true style we are doing the route in reverse…go figure.
  • I have ‘given myself away’ to my family and I want it back. My friends have been telling me this for years but couldn’t really own this information until I had a day where I did absolutely nothing for anybody but myself. Which leads to the second epiphany
  • The iPod is the world’s greatest invention…ok maybe indoor plumbing is pretty good but MY GOD how great are iPods??? I listened to my newly inherited iPod all day on Mother’s day…the kid gets an iPhone so I get the Jurassic iPod.
