iPhone Rebate – Updated

iPhone

Apple announced that they will be giving back $100 store credit back to every iPhone customer who purchased an iPhone from either Apple or AT&T. Apple has not yet posted the details of this offer and they say more information will be posted on there website later this week.

This stirs up a few questions, when I bought my iPhone I bought it from a coworker who ended up getting two phones on the release day. So after reading that they will be giving back $100 to customers it made me think, since I bought my phone from my coworker does that mean that I will be able to get a rebate or will my coworker get two rebates? This could lead to problems, as the large number of people who bought multiple phones quickly resold them to friends and family. Will Apple honor my receipt with my coworkers name on it or will I lose out on the $100 rebate? I guess only time will tell, hopefully Apple will be able to make everyone happy.

Update: I was on the Apple site looking at a new Mac Book Pro i wanted to get and i noticed a link for the rebate, it turns out that Nov 30th was the last day to get the rebate. Luckly for me it was about 10pm on Nov 30th.

Apple made me enter my iPhones Serial Number and Phone Number after about 30 seconds i had a text message with a code on my iPhone, this code let me get the Gift Card number.

I wish they would have made it more clear on how to get the rebate as i almost missed it and would have been kinda pissed if i did.

But it all worked out in the end…
