November 6, 2006 Photoshop 1 Comment

At times you need to type path on a curve or around an image with curve shape etc. In this tutorial we’ll tell you how you can type text on a path of your choice.

1. OPEN YOUR FILE

Start by opening any background.

2. CREATE THE PATH
Using pen tool create a path. Adjust the nodes to achieve a fine path.

Select type tool and click on the path. You will see an I-beam appearing.

Type your text. As you start typing, You’ll see that text is automatically being created on path.

Double click text layer to open layer style window and apply gradient overlay and bevel and emboss. Use settings as shown.

Wow we have created a nice text effect that too on a curved path.

Decorate it with some musical notes. Use custom shape tool ( U ) to draw some musical notes.

Apply same layer style as on text to the musical notes too.
5. DONE
