Use a lens flare and change it into a vibrant vortex graphic.

1) Make a new document, anysize doesn’t matter. Now press “D” on your keyboard to reset the foreground and background colors to black and white. Make sure your background is BLACK.

2) Render a lens flare right in the middle of your canvas:

3) Apply Filter>Artistic>Plastic Wrap with these settings:

Now apply Filter>Distort>Twirl with these following settings:

4) Add some color (CNTRL+U):

5) Duplicate the layer and set the top layer to Color Dodge:
