iMac Style Text

Learn how to create a very unique iMac styled text effect.

1. create a 300×300 file, enter a letter on
it.

2. set foreground color to #A7A7A7, bg color #F1F1F1. CTRL+click on the
text layer to load the selection of the text, create a new layer, use
gradient tool to do something like this.

3. stroke it with a darker gray, 1 pixel

4. go to select —> modify —> contract, 3 pixels.

5. create new layer, set fg color to #99FF66, bg color to #33CC00, do
another gradient

6. create new layer, create a ellipical selection, create a new layer,
gradient from white to transparent

7. ctrl+ click on green fill layer, then Ctrl+shift+I to inverse selection,
then go to the white gradient ellipse layer, tab delete.

8, drop shadow, here we go

9, ctrl+U to play around with colors.
